ECCE EGO QUIA VOCASTI ME.
I am a Catholic husband, father and business “professional.” I’m also out to prove a lot of people wrong – specifically that one cannot do all three things above without compromising their faith. St. Benedict says that it is all about balance. Ora et labora. Another word for balance is “harmony.” When all instruments are directed toward creating a perfect sound, it’s not about how much volume each of them contribute but rather how each contribution glorifies the music. It’s a constant, never ending series of adjustments.
Meanwhile, I’ll putter around with this and see where it goes. I’m sure that whatever MY “grand plan” is for it won’t be where it ends up. While I would like for it to offer an extra something for Catholic “husbands, fathers and businessmen” I don’t want others to feel excluded. Thus, I’ll likely end up all over the place. Please feel free to offer suggestions.
